CRJ Productions would like to announce that Chicago's own EARTHEN GRAVE, featuring renowned violinist Rachel Barton and also Ron Holzner of Trouble fame, will be performing a special acoustic set in the fan lounge at the next CHICAGO POWERFEST...open to all fest attendees. Also performing in the lounge will be comedian TONY VALLE, who will be bringing a fresh new twist to the Powerfest experience...stand-up comedy. This year's event is set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. CRJ Productions would like to welcome BLACK LABEL SOCIETY as Headliner and DOPE as their direct support for the Friday, May 8th, night of the next CHICAGO POWERFEST, set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. Tickets for this May 8th, date of the fest will go on sale this Saturday, April 4th, at 11am CT via all Ticketmaster locations.
Festival organizers also commented, "In keeping with the Powerfest tradition of spanning a wide variety of hard rock and metal genres, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and DOPE are two more bands who will contribute perfectly. This is what we feel a metal fest should be & plan to continue in this multi-dimensional direction with the goal of being bigger and better each year."

NOVEMBERS DOOM have just confirmed that they will be adding a very special acoustic set on the same night, May 9th, of their main stage performance at this year's CHICAGO POWERFEST. This will be their first ever acoustic set on American soil, and will be held in the Pearl Room's connected lounge (Capone's) prior to their main set.
For this year's POWERFEST, festival organizer's CRJ Productions have made arrangements to have the adjacent lounge opened up to fest attendees as a special room for fans to kick back, hang out & check out some cool acoustic performances which will take place in between main stage acts. Additional vendors will also be invited to set up in the lounge area, and if any vendors are interested, please contact CRJ via the contact form.
CRJ also commented, "This is yet another step towards our ultimate goal of creating the complete festival experience for the POWERFEST, and we're very excited to see how things will continue to develop. We hope that by opening up the lounge this year, it will give fans a chance to hang out, and even an opportunity to rest instead of having to stand the entire night...something many fans have expressed an eager interest in over the years."
More bands will be announced for the acoustic lounge in the next week or so, please stay tuned...

Headliners DEVILDRIVER, along with support bands SOIL and NOVEMBERS DOOM, will now be playing the Saturday, May 9th, date of this year's CHICAGO POWERFEST instead of the previously reported Friday May 8th date. Festival organizers, CRJ Productions, also commented: "Sorry for any inconvenience, but due to reasons beyond our control stemming from scheduling conflicts, this shift has become necessary."
Also, individual night tickets for Thursday, May 7th, & Saturday, May 9th, will go on sale this Saturday, March 7th, at 11am CT via all Ticketmaster locations. Friday ticket information along with 2 & 3 day pass will be announced March 30th.

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009 CRJ Productions would like to welcome DEVILDRIVER and SOIL as part of the next CHICAGO POWERFEST, set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. This will be both bands' first show in the Chicago area in over a year & also since finishing the recording of their new albums...both of which are scheduled for release in early summer. Finland's up-and-coming KIUAS, Chicago's very own metal veterans NOVEMBERS DOOM, and Germany's PERZONAL WAR are among the first bands to be announced for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009 (Main Event). Rounding out some of the other support slots will be Sweden's ASSAILANT, Germany's SHEEPHEAD, and Chicago's MINDWARP CHAMBER. The 7th edition of the Chicago Powerfest will take place at the Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois on May 7-9, 2009. Also, as previously announced, the PAGANFEST USA: Part 2 tour will be making a stop on the first night (May 7) of this year's Powerfest to kick it off again with some amazing Pagan metal!
The remaining bands, which also include both headliners and both direct supports, will be announced shortly and as they become confirmed. Ticket information will also be made available very soon. Please be patient...as you will NOT be disappointed!! Korpiklaani has been added the headliner to the Paganfest bill along with Swashbuckle as the opener, we're excited to have both bands on the bill!
