Since the closing of the Pearl Room, we have yet to find a suitable venue to accommodate
the needs and vision of CPF but will continue searching. We will keep you posted on any
breaking developments, both here and on our myspace page, and still have hope of bringing
you a 2010 edition of the festival!
As always, thank you beyond words for your patience, support, and encouragement, we truly
appreciate it, you guys are the best! \m/

CRJ Productions would like to announce that Chicago's own EARTHEN GRAVE, featuring renowned violinist Rachel Barton and also Ron Holzner of Trouble fame, will be performing a special acoustic set in the fan lounge at the next CHICAGO POWERFEST...open to all fest attendees. Also performing in the lounge will be comedian TONY VALLE, who will be bringing a fresh new twist to the Powerfest experience...stand-up comedy. This year's event is set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. Tickets for the event are currently available via all Ticketmaster locations, Pearl Room box office & Metal Haven in Chicago. CRJ Productions would like to welcome BLACK LABEL SOCIETY as Headliner and DOPE as their direct support for the Friday, May 8th, night of the next CHICAGO POWERFEST, set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. Tickets for this May 8th, date of the fest will go on sale this Saturday, April 4th, at 11am CT via all Ticketmaster locations.
Festival organizers also commented, "In keeping with the Powerfest tradition of spanning a wide variety of hard rock and metal genres, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and DOPE are two more bands who will contribute perfectly. This is what we feel a metal fest should be & plan to continue in this multi-dimensional direction with the goal of being bigger and better each year."

CRJ Productions would like to welcome New York's GWYNBLEIDD and Chicago's own SACRED DAWN as part of the next CHICAGO POWERFEST, set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois. Both bands will be performing acoustic sets in the special fan lounge which will be open to all fest attendees. In an effort to continue moving forward in creating the complete festival experience, this year's CHICAGO POWERFEST will also feature acoustic performances taking place in between main stage acts in the lounge area conveniently connected to the main room of the venue. Swiss folk band ELUVEITIE has been forced to pull out of the "PaganFest America: Part II" tour, which is scheduled to kick off in late April in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Commented the tour organizers: "We've decided that it would be wiser to wait for the band to return in the fall since they've already played during Paganfest America 2008's touring cycle. On the bright side, ELUVEITIE will return on a new tour we are currently working on (yes...we're working on something very cool for this fall) where ELUVEITIE will play an acoustic and a full metal set and it will be worth the wait. With this being said, we have increased the playing times of all the bands on Paganfest America and whether you come for your favorite or for all of the bands, you will get the set time you and the bands deserve!"

Headliners DEVILDRIVER, along with support bands SOIL and NOVEMBERS DOOM, will now be playing the Saturday, May 9th, date of this year's CHICAGO POWERFEST instead of the previously reported Friday May 8th date. Festival organizers, CRJ Productions, also commented: "Sorry for any inconvenience, but due to reasons beyond our control stemming from scheduling conflicts, this shift has become necessary."
Also, individual night tickets for Thursday, May 7th, & Saturday, May 9th, will go on sale this Saturday, March 7th, at 11am CT via all Ticketmaster locations. Friday ticket information along with 2 & 3 day pass will be announced March 30th.

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009 CRJ Productions would like to welcome DEVILDRIVER and SOIL as part of the next CHICAGO POWERFEST, set to take place on May 7-9 at The Pearl Room in Mokena, Illinois.
